What's happening in San Diego?

I came across this article on Sign On San Diego and thought you would like to know that...

FRIDAY: This is a big weekend for anniversaries (see below). The Linkery's sixth will be marked with a three-day sausage-and-beer fest, featuring some of the restaurant's top-rated wurst. The brews will begin with casks of Black Market Rye IPA; New English Brewing Why? Not Wheat; and AleSmith’s My Bloody Valentine. The draft selections: Ballast Point San Salvador Saison; Stone Cali-Belgique; Gordon Biersch Helles Lager; AleSmith Anvil; Ballast Point Sculpin IPA; and Stone Old Guardian Barleywine ’07.

SATURDAY: AleSmith's monthly one-hour tour is today, starting at 12:30 p.m. You need a reservations, but this isn't like scoring a ticket to Comic-Con. Just call the Mira Mesa brewery. Simple. And if you go, don't miss the intimate (translation: tiny) tasting bar, open from noon to 6 p.m.

AleSmith: 9368 Cabot Drive, San Diego; (858) 549-9888; alesmith.com

SATURDAY: For the Tap Room's fourth anniversary, the P.B. hangout is hosting a local beer festival, 2 to 10 p.m. The $20 ticket entitles partiers to eight six-ounce pours. If it's raining, the TR's interior is spacious and comfy. If it's clear, the place has a nifty garden.

SUNDAY: If you're a fan of Dos Equis -- well, that's between you and your beer conscience. But if you've fallen under the spell of XX, The Local sells 60-ounce pitchers of the stuff for $12 this day and every Sunday.
